Why We Use Fourthwall

Last updated October 5, 2026. When you check out from the We Dig Skulls shop, you finish your order on a Fourthwall page. This page explains who Fourthwall is, who you are actually buying from, how your payment is handled, how your shirt, mug or sticker gets made and shipped, and where to go if you need help with an order.

The short version

Fourthwall runs the checkout for our shop, takes the payment, makes each item after you order it, ships it to you and handles order help. That arrangement lets us put our time into the designs and the stories, while a company built for this work looks after the order itself. If you have a question about a placed order, Fourthwall's support team is the fastest route, and the steps are below.

What is Fourthwall?

Fourthwall is a commerce platform for creators and brands: it powers their shops, makes their products and handles the orders. Its careers page names its founders as Will Baumann, Walker Williams and Eli Valentin, with offices in Los Angeles and in Poznań, Poland. Its company profiles on LinkedIn and CB Insights list it as founded in 2019 and based in Los Angeles. You can read more on the Fourthwall homepage.

Who you are buying from

When you place an order, Fourthwall is the seller. Its Terms of Service, last updated August 19, 2026, say that each product order "is a transaction directly between Fourthwall and the End User," and that Fourthwall is responsible for "sourcing, shipping, returns and refunds" on those orders.

Fourthwall also takes the payment and handles the tax. The same Terms say that "Fourthwall will process and receive payment" for product orders and that "for sales tax purposes, Fourthwall will serve as the Merchant of Record." Fourthwall's FAQ says it handles collecting sales tax and paying it to US states and other countries, so the tax you see at checkout is collected and passed on by Fourthwall.

Keep your order confirmation email. If a charge on your statement needs explaining, Fourthwall's support team can match it to your order.

Paying safely

Fourthwall's list of accepted payment methods, updated August 18, 2026, includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Amazon Pay and Cash App in the United States, along with local methods in other countries. The methods you can use are the ones shown at checkout.

Your card details go to established payment companies. Fourthwall says it "uses Stripe for processing credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay transactions," and its Privacy Policy names Stripe and PayPal as the providers that receive payment information. We Dig Skulls never sees or stores your card number. Before you pay, you can read Fourthwall's Privacy Policy and Terms from the links on this page.

How your order is made and shipped

Nothing in our shop sits in a warehouse waiting for you. Fourthwall says its on-demand products are "produced to order after each purchase": when you order, Fourthwall sends the order to one of its manufacturing partners, the item is printed, and it is packed and shipped straight to you. That is why every design can come in every size without a pile of unsold shirts behind it.

Production and delivery times, shipping costs, and what happens with customs on international orders are all on our shipping page. The time shown for your item at checkout is the one that applies to your order.

If something is wrong with your order

If your item arrives damaged, misprinted or in the wrong size because of a production mistake, Fourthwall handles the replacement. Our returns page explains what qualifies, the time limit for reporting it, and the photos to include. Because each item is made to order, a change of mind or a size you picked yourself is not a reason for a return, so the size guide on each product page is worth a minute before you buy.

Getting help with an order

Fourthwall's support team answers order questions at support@fourthwall.com, and its Help Center has guides for buyers. Fourthwall says its support team averages a reply in 12 hours or less, nights and weekends included.

To get help fast:

  • Include your 8-character Order ID. Fourthwall's guide to Order IDs calls it the reference its support team uses to look up an order.
  • Check your email for updates. Fourthwall sends an automated email when your order ships and another when it is delivered, as its order tracking guide explains, and you can check the status from your order confirmation page.
  • Keep your tracking number handy if you are asking about a delivery.

You can still write to us through the contact form about anything, and if you are not sure where a question belongs, we will point you the right way.

Why we chose Fourthwall

We Dig Skulls is a small brand. Fourthwall lets us offer every design on shirts, mugs and stickers without buying and storing stock, because each item is made only after someone orders it. It handles the payment, the sales tax, the printing, the shipping and the order support, which are exactly the parts a small shop is least able to do well on its own. That leaves the work here where it belongs: drawing the designs and writing the stories.
