A black ceramic mug carrying a fine-engraving vanitas still life: a skull on a closed book, a tulip, an hourglass and a candle that has just been snuffed. Made for memento mori and vanitas fans.
Design
This is the same artwork as the Vanitas Skull Tee. On the mug it is printed on both sides, so the skull and its hourglass face you whichever way the handle points. The candle's thin curl of smoke seems fitting for a hot drink.
Slogan
No words here. The engraving does all the talking, and the coffee does the rest.
Made For
Lovers of Dutch vanitas paintings, for a morning coffee, a desk at work or a shelf of art books.
